Hey y’all,
I recently got a Ford f250 1989 7.3 IDI. It got hot on me the other day on the highway I shut it down for a bit but turned right back on. Today I drove it all day and had no problem. I got home and turned it off and now can’t get it to turn back over. If I jump it from the battery to the starter solenoid it’ll turn over but hasn’t started without spraying starting fluid into the engine at the same time. Once it’s on it’s running just fine but it won’t start on its own.
I took it to O Riley’s and they tested the alternator and said it was fine. I put new batteries in it too. I’m not sure what else it could be. Any ideas would help.
