Is it worth owning a classic car in the city in this day and age??

I own a 1970 Chevelle as it was my first car at 18. I’m 30 now and I haven’t driven it in years. I keep it at my dad’s house and drive my dailey driver instead. My question is this though.

Living in Los Angeles is it even smart to own a classic car? There are an insane amount of break ins here and I fear if I kept my car with me in the city it would get broken into or stolen. I just don’t know if owning a classic car in the city in 2024 is putting too big of a target on your back. My apartment doesn’t have a garage so it would be parked on the street everyday
