At the end of June, over the course of six days (including stays in France, London and County Durham) I made an almost 5000km (~3100 mile) round trip from Italy to the UK and back with my GT. I did this in order to attend a classic car event organised by the boarding school I attended when I was younger, located in Co. Durham. I started from my home city of Rome passing through Switzerland (wanted to see the Hotel Belvedere on the Furka Pass) and France with a stopover in London where I have lived for four years before returning to Italy. On my way back I stopped to have dinner in Milan with some friends. The only problem I encountered was a broken carburettor filter support caused by a sort of inverse speed bump (massive indentation) on a London road (thanks Sadiq Khan 🤡) which was repaired by a local mechanic in the town where my school is located. I will be doing this again next year with another classic, should anyone wish to join.
I took some pics I wanted to share with you other enthusiasts.
