I'm looking to lessen the force required to depress the clutch pedal on my 1956 Ford Thunderbird. It uses a mechanical linkage, so I'm sure there's some springs somewhere, but I'm not sure where as I don't want to tear it apart before I have a plan. That said, would I be looking into a new clutch plate with lighter springs, or changing the linkage? I'd prefer to not have to do this, but my car is just such a pig to drive with the heavy clutch in it, especially in modern traffic.
