Putting modern electronics into 70s car

I'm more into modern sports cars and haven't really dabbled into old or classic cars much. I have an idea for a drift truck involving a 1977 F-150 and a lot, a lot of aftermarket parts. I don't think doing an engine swap or installing new brakes will be an issue or doing anything with any sort of "mechanical" parts should be a problem.

My only concern right now is the electronics and interior gauges. Would I have a rough time swapping to an aftermarket steering wheel or installing bucket seats? Is it possible to change the speakers and sound systems on old cars like this? Most importantly, am I able to install new, more modern gauges for speed and rpm? I'm usually willing to go as far as I can to get it done, but if it's going to be an absolute headache or simply a waste of time and money, then I might need to forgo this idea. What say you?
