I know literally NOTHING about cars. I have a surface level interest in machinery, but no idea about cars. If you could dumb it down for me, I’d appreciate it.
My neighbor has some cool collectible cars in his garage. I went over with my mom to talk to him about it. We were talking about a bunch of things like the neighborhood and his life, so I didn’t get to hear specifically about the barracuda. Apparently it took him like 7 years to restore it? (this is what my mom told me when I asked about the neighbor’s barracuda before I actually met him today. So idk if 7 years is a normal time frame or if she just mispoke)
He’s getting really old and literally just beat a type of cancer a week ago, so I honestly don’t know how much longer he’s going to be around. he has a whole mechanic shop in his garage, I’m hoping to maybe learn about the inside of cars from him.
What model is this? Is it rare? Does it look like it’s in a good condition (like is the paint job good)? Do you think I should ask to buy it from him one day? I looked on Wikipedia but I don’t understand what the stuff on there means so idk how to tell what model. It’s probably the 1964 because of the front part with the grate thing because the 2nd and 3rd versions just have two big rectangles in the head light area.
if you guys know any history about it, or how popular it is to car people, I’d love to know.
